DEPUTY SHERIFF, PATROL DIVISION

Salary ranges: $16.45 while in Recruit Training (RDTP)                                    $17.14 when fully fledged.  (Usually 12 weeks but may vary)      $17.83 after acceptable first year.                                             (per hour rate, overtime available as well for most Deputies as well as some mandatory OT probable)

The Lanier County Sheriff’s Office, Lakeland, Georgia, is actively recruiting persons for appointment/employment as Deputy Sheriff. We are currently accepting applications from certified officers only. The Lanier County Sheriff’s Office is an equal opportunity employer.

 Minimum Qualifications may include:
High School graduation or the equivalent is required. United States Citizen. Successful completion of in-depth background investigation. Successful completion of a polygraph examination. Successful completion of a physical/medical examination by an employer designated physician to include substance abuse screening.

Experience as a Uniformed Deputy Sheriff is preferred but any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job may be acceptable.

Requires a Valid Georgia Driver’s License and Georgia P.O.S.T. L.E. Certification in Good Standing indicating that you are employable.
